Terms of Service
These terms set simple ground rules for using FiloSpace and keeping the service useful for everyone.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using FiloSpace, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you use FiloSpace for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
2. Accounts
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.
You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. FiloSpace may ask for information needed to verify an account or investigate misuse.
3. Your files
You keep ownership of the files and other content you upload. You give FiloSpace the limited permission needed to store, copy, transmit, preview, process, and share that content only to provide the features you request and operate the service.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, and share your content. Processing creates a new file by default and does not intentionally overwrite the original.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use FiloSpace for unlawful activity, abuse, malware, credential theft, unauthorized access, infringement, harmful content, or attempts to disrupt or compromise the service. The full rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Service availability and limits
Accounts are subject to the storage, file-size, processing, and request limits shown in the product. Features may change as FiloSpace improves. We aim to keep the service available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Keep independent copies of files that are critical to you. FiloSpace is a file-management service, not a substitute for a backup strategy tailored to your needs.
6. Suspension, termination, and deletion
We may restrict or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate a material breach, respond to valid legal process, or prevent harm. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You can delete individual files through the product. Account-level deletion currently requires a request to support@filospace.online. Deletion may be limited by legal obligations, dispute resolution, security needs, or provider backup cycles.
7. Third-party services
FiloSpace relies on services such as Supabase, Amazon Web Services, and optional Google sign-in. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy documentation. The current list is on the Subprocessors page.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
FiloSpace is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not exclude warranties or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted, FiloSpace is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost- profit damages arising from use of the service.
Any financial cap on liability must be completed by the operator with legal counsel before paid plans or public commercial launch. Nothing here limits your non-waivable consumer rights.
9. Governing law and disputes
Governing law and courts: [configure the operator's governing jurisdiction before launch]. This does not remove any mandatory rights or forums available to consumers under applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way, and the update date will change. Continuing to use FiloSpace after new terms take effect means you accept them where the law permits.
